ProFish Privacy Policy

Overview

ProFish — Saltwater Fishing does not collect, store or transmit any personal information to external servers. All data is stored locally on your device.

Location Data

ProFish requests access to your device location to find nearby tide stations, weather buoys and marine forecasts. Your location is never stored on external servers or shared with third parties.

Data Storage

All app data including waypoints, journal entries, photos and downloaded charts are stored locally on your device only. ProFish does not operate any servers or databases.

Third Party Services

ProFish uses the following free public APIs to provide marine data:

• NOAA Tides and Currents — tide predictions
• NOAA National Data Buoy Center — weather buoy data
• NOAA National Weather Service — marine forecasts
• OpenSeaMap — nautical chart overlays
• NOAA Chart Display Service — offline nautical charts

These services may receive your approximate location to return relevant local data. Please refer to NOAA's privacy policy at noaa.gov for more details.

Children's Privacy

ProFish does not knowingly collect any information from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
